Datachamps Deep Dive:
Through this interactive dashboard, we have created an Ironman® Performance Tracker with insightful analytics across a few selected races held over the last couple of years. To prepare this dashboard, we have sourced all the data from www.ironman.com.
On the first page, we have a visual of the country-wise performance analysis where we see the average time taken by the athletes from a particular country to complete each stage of the race. We can check these timings for a particular race as well. At the bottom, we can see the individual athlete performances.
On the second page, we have tracked the performance as per age groups. We also get to know the percentage of athletes who have finished a race. At the bottom, we can see the performance of all athletes from that particular age group and their percentile. This visual also has a colour heat map which showcases a comparison of the stage wise performance of athletes.
On the third page, we have an athlete 360° analysis. We have tracked the historical performance of an athlete over various races where we can see their evolution. The table depicts the best stage-wise performance of the athlete. Also, we get a comparison of the athlete’s performance against the average timings of athletes from that country.
On the last page, we can do a side by side comparison where an overall country level or/and an age-group level performances are tracked. Apart from this, we can compare the performance of any two athletes as well.
